Hey there, it’s Tomi.
So, I’ve been playing around with something new lately – blogging straight from my phone.
By the way, before even getting into why I’m writing from an iPhone, there’s the question of why I’m writing in English in the first place.
The other day, I attended an international technology exchange meeting and gave a presentation in English.
It went pretty well, so now my motivation to learn English is skyrocketing.
So, I’m trying to write in English.
First Impressions
NOT BAD.
Getting the app was a no-brainer.
A few taps in the app store, my entire blog was right there in my pocket.
The app’s pretty slick and easy to write.
“Simplicity is key.”
The Writing Bit
Now, writing on a phone is… different. You’re scrolling a lot because, you know, tiny screen. But the app’s neat, so it’s not a headache. The editor’s got all the basics down – text styles, adding pics, tagging – all the good stuff.
The good point? I could blog from anywhere. Stuck on a train. Waiting for my coffee at Starbucks.
Little Hiccups
It wasn’t all smooth, though.
My thumbs aren’t exactly ninja typists, and let’s not talk about the typos.
And if you’re doing something fancy with your post, it can get fiddly on the phone.
My trick? Start on the phone, then switch to my laptop for the fancy stuff.
Wrap Up
All in all, using WordPress on my phone was pretty awesome for when I’m out and about.
It’s not gonna replace my laptop, but for quick updates or jotting down ideas, it’s perfect.
If you’re always moving and you love to blog, give it a whirl!
